1. what material is the adapter made of?
The adapter is CNC machined from 6061-T6 Aluminum alloy and anodized black.

2. Can I use any EOS lens with this adapter
Any EOS lens can be connected via this adapter, however, some are easier to use than others. Some EOS lenses cannot be focused using the focus rings as they require power from the camera body. Please verify that your intended lenses can be focused on their own by removing the lens from the camera body, and turning the focus ring.

3. How do I set the desired aperture of the lens?
EOS lenses do not have a mechanical method of stopping the aperture down. However, there is a simple workaround:

• Mount the lens to an EOS camera body (digital or film).
• Set the camera to Bulb mode.
• Set the desired aperture value (f/stop)
• Using a cable release, trip AND LOCK the shutter - the camera will stop the lens down.
• With the shutter still locked, remove the lens from the camera body. The aperture blades will remain at the last aperture set.
• Mount the lens to the EOS-STL adapter and shoot :-)

4. How is the lens held in place in the adapter?
The lens is held in place via friction between the bayonet and lens. Due to the space restrictions within the adapter itself, the locking mechanism was not incorporated (This is the same as with the SBIG Nikon adapter).
Please exercise caution with heavy lenses, especially during focusing operation to ensure that the lens does not rotate within the adapter!

5. How much does the adapter cost?
The cost for the adapters is $195 shipped in the US48. Outside the US48, please e-mail me for shipping specifics.

6. How long will it take to receive my adapter?
The adapters are usually in stock and ship right away via USPS Priority Mail and should arrive in less than a week :-)
